ABOUT THE SONG
Generous God, by Reese LeRoy, was written to celebrate the bounty of God's giving nature. The idea for the song came to Reese as he was on a "prayer run." As Reese was giving thanks for the simple ability to run, he realized that his tendency is to only see God's blessings in the "big stuff" and to ignore the daily blessings of life that are all around him... not the least of which is God's great gift of his Son, Jesus. What generosity!
Reese's desire for this song is not only that it would provide an expression of thanks to God for his great generosity, but that it would be a prayer for us to reflect God's generosity in our lives.ABOUT THE RECORDING
Generous God is the title song from a recorded collection of worship songs by Reese, produced by his friend, Eric Darken, who is a percussionist and producer in Nashville, TN. In this song, Reese carries the lead vocals; background vocalists are Lisa Beville, Bonnie Keen, and Gary Pigg. Eric Darken provided the rhythm and percussion; Matt Pierson played bass, Gary Burnett, guitars and Tom Wanca, the B-3.

ABOUT THE AUTHORReese LeRoy is a vocalist, songwriter, and keyboard player who has served as the worship leader at the Augusta, GA Vineyard for the last 12 years. Prior to that, Reese was a TV news anchor and reporter for 7 years. He and his wife, Mary-Margaret have 2 daughters and live in Evans, GA.
